Board games are a great way to pass the time on a cold winter day or night. I found a great deal on where board games start as low at $3.99. So go online and purchase such classics games as Twister, Uno and Candyland, since this may be a long and cold winter.

Want to fall into a Ball Pit along with the kids at home?

I remember the days of the Ball Pitt frenzies. A Ball Pitt is made of a strong plastic, inflatable house complete with thousands of small plastic balls. Screaming children would be seen having loads of fun in the inflatable house, at a variety of play spaces, such as Discovery Zone and Chunky Cheese. Once the children were inside the house, some children would simply amaze me with their acrobatic somersaults and then land into a pile of balls and disappear.

Now, parents can recreate this fun zone in the comfort of their own homes. The inflatable Ball Pitt can be purchased online at Wallmart for $14 dollars however the in-store price is a steal at $10 dollars. offers coupons and cash back!!!

As I was riding home along with my commuter buddy, who, informed me of a website called I was instructed to sign up on the site, shop and I will be able to receive cash back on purchases. My eyes popped out of my head.

I ran home and indeed did the fact checking. Also, I located a recent press release on, dated Nov 13, which described the companies concept" As the preferred shopping resource for over one million savvy consumers, works closely with hundreds of merchant partners like Dell, Travelocity, and Wal-Mart to publish exclusive offers, online coupons, and cash back rebates. The growing forum represents the pulse of not only but also an evolving online marketplace where consumers gather to share and learn. ranks by Quantcast as one of the top 1,000 Internet properties, worldwide."

I am going to check on (Thursday is free shipping to over 700 retailers) and cross reference those retailers on to get free shipping and cash back.!!!!

Merry Christmas

Rite Aid December 2009 Rebate Month

I went online to view the this weeks Rite Aide circular and discovered this fantastic offer called December 2009 Rebate Month.

Rebate is defined in Wikipedia as"A rebate is an amount paid by way of reduction, return, or refund on what has already been paid or contributed. It is a type of sales promotion marketers use primarily as incentives or supplements to product sales. The mail-in rebate (MIR) is the most common. A MIR entitles the buyer to mail in a coupon, a receipt and barcode in order to receive a check for a particular amount, depending on the particular product, time, and often place of purchase. Rebates are offered by either the retailer or the manufacturer of the chosen product".

Once you are on the Rite Aid website, go to the left side and click the "single check rebates".

According to the website, Rite Aid "December 2009 Single Check Rebates program, running November 29th, 2009through December 26th, 2009*. Bonn Appetite.......

Will you steal the last bit of steak off your significant other plate?

As I watch my significant other savor the last piece of steak, I turned into a hungry huntress, and speared it off his plate. Then I smiled. The significant other was horrified.

Well I now resort to lesser tactics, where it concerns a steak craving.

I just learned of a free four steak deal at Omaha Steaks, along with a purchase, for a limited time, according to the website. Omaha Steaks delivers steaks and more to your door so just call or go online to place an order.

I am ending this entry to purchase a special deal and salvage my relationship! Maybe.

Omaha is on Facebook, so these type of deals are more common than before.

As I watched, the New York Yankee's world series game 6, I screamed as they clinched the series and beat the Philies. It was spectacular!!! Yet, I was not alone. Jigga" performed on the Madison Garden stage and kicked off his highly anticipated benefit concert, Answer The Call, held on Friday, Sept 11, 2009.

Dressed in a black tee shirt, a pair of black jeans, a black leather jacket and shades, Jay Z, affectionately known as "Jigga" performed on the Madison Garden stage and kicked off his highly anticipated benefit concert, Answer The Call, held on Friday, Sept 11, 2009. This show is being aired on Cablevison, Fuse channel 78, from 9pm to 11pm. According to Fuse's website, which indicated that "the tickets and merchandise sales from this benefit concert will be donated to the New York Police and Fire Windows' and Children Fund". Jay Z performed with a live band complete with a horn section, guitarist and a powerful drummer. With the help of Fuse broadcasting this show, Jay Z's adoring fans had another opportunity to watch the concert, that sold out in twelve minutes, from the coziness of his and her own home.

By the time third song , Public Service Announcement, came on and Jay Z shouted the lyrics " Allow me to reintroduce myself" an already exhilarated crowd roared screams and chants of theses lyric in sync with great performer! It was an interesting choice to sing this tune early on in the concert since this is an obvious closer. But instead of doing the expected, Jay Z screamed "I think there are ready" and the pumped the song. Several surprise guest came on stage to play along with Jigga's band. A intense John Mayer, struck each cord on the guitar for the song , Roc, on this electrified the stage complete with red, yellow and blue blinding lights. Jay Z reminds that crowd that New York is resilient city after the 9/11 tragedy, with the lyrics" now we stand here tonight eight years later, even stronger, even stronger , even stronger, .... we run this town". Immediately after the speech, Rhianna , scantly dressed in a black leotard black top secured only with a metallic belt, makes her appearance on the stage singing the hook "We gonna run this town tonight" along with Kenye West. This crowd went ballistic with shouting, stomping and clapping. Both Rhianna and Kenye, rocked the stage in unison to hype up this crowd! I must say from a publicist prospective this is a genius marketing move to strengthen Rhianna image!

Nearly an hour into the show, Bounce, also in a leotard, suddenly appears on stage ,with four dancers and jumped, kicked , and cat walked during her short yet magnetic performance. Pharrel ran on stage to perform along with this Hip-Hop mogul, "I'm A Hustler Baby" and the fans bobbed their heads and waved their hands to this catchy tune. The image above is taken while Jay Z is singing "Baby I Know". Then the crowd yelled Mary, Mary as the Queen of Hip-Hop Ms. Mary J Blige came upon the stage to accompany Jay Z to sing . Toward the closing of the concert, Jigga bellowed " It A Hard Knocks Life" which caused the crowd to sway back and forth. Prior to the end of this fantastic concert, a moment of silence was observed for the loved one families and immediately after an impressive technology stunt that displayed digital pictures of the victims from 9/11 within a Twin Tower image. This was a great concert for all!

Spike Lee along with DJ Spinna held a Michael Jackson tribute that will be remembered!!!

I have just returned from the Michael Jackson tribute party. It was held today, on his birthday, from 12pm until 5pm at Prospect Park located in Brooklyn, NY. Michael would have been 51 years young. Thousands of fans turned out to this event despite the threat of rain. The vast crowd of people stood, danced, cried and performed the ever popular "sway of hands" over this six hour party. DJ Spinna set up on stage and emptied his infamous crate of musical tunes such as "Beat It", "Off the Wall" and "Rocking Robin" that he slid onto his turntable and moved the crowd. DJ Spinna is a member of Keistar Productions that host the Stevie Wonder party in New York City every year. There were several surprise guest such as Ed Lover, Marty Markowitz and Al Sharpton, who, were on stage and each gave a short speech about the pop star. It was not surprising that half-way through the event, the sun pierced through a grey sky. Could it have been due to the cheers from fans floating up to the sky from the ground below? Spike Lee, Film Producer,Director,Father of two, brought out a cake on stage, complete with two candles and the crowd roared over Stevie Wonder's track" Happy Birthday" to the man who moonwalked all over our hearts. As the event came to an end, a somber crowd sang every last word of "Man in the Mirror" and then left in a peaceful manner. It now appears that Michael Jackson will only be remembered for all his great contributions to this planet over a thirty year span. Spike Lee along with DJ Spinna held a Michael Jackson tribute that will be remembered.

Have you ever used a certificate at a restaurant?

Have you ever used a certificate at a restaurant? I have and believe me it is great to dine on a dime. Since my friends and family know that I am a foodie, they presented me with a certificate from my favorite eatery, as a birthday gift. I would use the certificate for the entire meal. HORRAY !!! However, we are all being financially challenged these days, so I spend more wisely. Yet, I still love to go out to eat. So, I rolled up my sleeves and upon my research, I discovered This website offers $25 certificates for the cost of $10 at a number of great restaurants, bars and lounges. These certificate can be used for a girl’s night out, a guy’s night out and even on a date. According to their website, it states, "find a restaurant, purchase a certificate and print." Simply, bring the certificate to the eatery to be included as you settle the bill. My advice is to sign up for their promotional deals and you can purchase a certificate at an even lower cost (up to of $ 25). Bon Appetite !!!

Are you a weekday closet movie attendee?

Are you a weekday closet movie attendee?

Most of our busy week consists of job hunting, bargain hunting and a whole bunch of other "fun" stuff. I'm not sure if going to see a flick, on a Tuesday, is on the average to do list. But, I imagine that there are those movie lovers that leave their house, slip into night and sneak into the theatre to watch a movie, during the week. So, here is some exciting news for those weekday closet movie attendees. Last week, I was at the office (yes, I have a day job) and my co-worker told me about the two free movie ticket deal. I did the fact checking and indeed this is true. If you are a Cablevision Optimum Rewards Member, you have access to this great deal. According to Cablevision's website, Optimum Reward members can receive two free tickets only on a Tuesday but can also receive additional discounts on a regular movie purchase.
