Who is Ms. Erin Gleason?
Erin Gleason is an artist, designer, and curator based in Brooklyn, NY. Her multi-media work examines the interrelationships between sets of conditions and activity, focusing primarily on architecture, urbanism, politics, and socio-economic structures. Her installations, drawings, sculptures and films have been shown in the US and internationally, including FiveMyles Gallery, Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, The Pier Art Center, and Shetland Museum and Archives.
She has created works for numerous public sites, recently winning a public art commission from the Arts & Theatres Trust for Abbeyview Park in Scotland. She is co-editor, author and designer of the publication FIELDWORK (ASN Mutual Press), co-director and curator of the Crown Heights Film Festival, and recipient of the Russell Trust Award for research in Greenland. Erin studied Fine Art, Imaging Science and Anthropology at University of Pennsylvania, and received her MFA in the Art/Space/Nature Program at Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh.
